Giving Up | The day “it” all ends to give “it” a new beginning

There will come a day in your life when you will decide to let go of everything that you have. You will realize that even after doing everything that you can to get a better outcome from life, all you get is a big disappointment. This part of your life becomes a big set-back, where even your reflection in the mirror seems a big disgrace to you. You decide it’s not worth it.

The moment you will decide that, the moment you will start feeling that, you have to remember why you started the whole thing. If it made you feel better than what happened in particularly that changed your whole perspective towards the task you were on to.

Was it the way you used to do it?

Was it your way of looking at it? Or,

Was it the way you used to feel while doing that job?

Everything that you have been through,

What was that thing that made you come this far? And,

What is that thing in particular that is missing now, which doesn’t make you feel about the job as it used to?

The road on which you started to reach the destination you always wanted, by collecting each and every milestone on the way, why suddenly you want to quit?

There is an old saying, to start something new, you should always learn to end something that is old.

But ending something like this is not what they call end. This is just escaping a situation because it is getting out of control, or maybe you are not getting the result you wanted.

I’m not a man of God but I do know this,

There is this verse from,

Shrimad Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 2 Verse 47

...
...

Which closely translates to;

“You have a right to perform your prescribed duty, but you are not entitled to the fruits of action. Never consider yourself the cause of the result of your activities and never be attached to not doing your duty.”

Source-Prabhupād, A.C. BhaktiVedanta Swami A. B. (1972). Bhagvad-Gita As It Is (2010 (EN BG epub r8.epub ed.). The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust International Inc.

That is how exactly the things work. You just can’t expect a better outcome only because you are working really hard.

A bull in a farm cannot just expect to fly just because it is working really hard. To get the right outcome in life you have to put right efforts for the right job.

The moment you start believing that just by working hard you can actually get what you wish for. That moment you have to understand that you haven’t been this wrong in your whole life. And when you don’t get what you actually want, you always start looking for a way out, a break, or to just Give up. You don’t get it, the art of putting effort in your work is about how much you love that work, the ultimate satisfaction that you can ever get from doing that job is that you will be happy because you created something so beautiful.

Learn to sacrifice for what you love to do, and try to learn how not to sacrifice just for the greed of a better tomorrow. Who says, that if you are going to sacrifice today, or put your sweat and blood in a job today then there will be a better tomorrow. And if someone tell you this, it’s a myth. It is just a leap of faith that you have to take.

Stop expecting things from the way you work, and from the hard work that you are actually putting into your work. You are not here to expect things to happen, you are here to make things happen for you, you are here to never stop until and unless you get what you want. You will get it someday, eventually. All you have to do is be patient and be passionate for the work that you love.

Don’t be so dependent on the outcome, understand how you are making things happen, and how never to give up just because this is not the outcome you expected.

The world is not here to fulfil your expectations, you are here to make this world a better place for yourself. Learn how to make that happen. Try to express yourself with the work you do, and then you will never have to expect a better outcome, you will get what you deserve.

Are you giving up? There will come a moment in our life when we will try to give up on everything, we ready to let go of everything that we accomplish this far, just because we haven't got what we had expected . This is the moment when we have to open our eyes and look at the complete picture and understand that why on the first place we actually started that job, what made us come this far, and what is missing at this moment that we want to quit. Of all the things that we expect to get from the work we do, we actually forget the ultimate satisfaction that it gave us. How that work really makes us happy. .
