What is your unfinished Masterpiece? | Complete it before it's too late

Chapter 22 of “The mystery of Edwin Drood” by Charles Dickens was never supposed to be the last chapter of this book. The last line from that chapter was,

“Before sitting down to it, he opens his corner- cupboard door; takes his bit of chalk from its shelf; adds one thick line to the score, extending from the top of the cupboard door to the bottom; and then falls to with an appetite.”

This was never supposed to be the end of this story. And this was not even the end, this was just a part of that story which will forever remain “unfinished”.

June 8, 1870, working late that afternoon, Charles dickens was hoping to finish the chapter that day itself, but one thing that he would have never expected was, he had a stroke that evening at dinner and died the next day without regaining consciousness.

What do we learn from that story?

No matter how hard we try there always going to be somethings that are going to remain unfinished, but there are always going to be the things that could be our greatest masterpiece, the pieces which only exists in our imagination, a totally different fairy tale which exist in our dreams, which we just can’t wait to share with everyone but we are too hesitated to do so.

We know that one day the fairy tale is going to end with us in the inevitable doom, when our life is going to end. The fairy tale that could have been the best masterpiece we could have ever made would remain unfinished.

The fact is that, we all have a moment in life, the moment we get to roll a dice, and make the decision, the decision where we can bring that masterpiece to life.

The great Charles Dickens, knew that, as he said,
“Dreams are the bright creatures of poem and legend, who sport on earth in the night season, and melt away in the first beam of the sun, which lights grim care and stern reality on their daily pilgrimage through the world.”
 – Charles Dickens

He was not wrong, to be honest we all know that. Like every other dream, we will never know where we came from, or where is that dream taking us, because at that moment all we care about is that what the dream really wants to show us.

We all are going to turn into dust someday, and no one is going to remember us as some corporate person who worked in a company, world will always remember you by the most precious thing that you will ever create.

And that can be anything at all, it can be the way you motivate people, or make them fall in love with you, or how you share your feelings with others, or how you just not show you care but you actually do. Everything that you have and everything that you can give to this world, will be your masterpiece.

The masterpiece that you never knew you can create, and until and unless you bring it to life, it will always be incomplete, it will always be unfinished, it will be right where you left it, it will stand there forever, with the same last lines until the end.

And the fact is that somethings will always going to be unfinished in your life no matter how hard you try, so why not just finish the things that really do matter. If you feel that something in unfinished in your life then as soon this video ends go and do it, start it today and finish it.

Because you need to do that.

You just can’t wait for the perfect timing to start what you love to do, what if your story ends before you could even start it.

What is stopping you from beginning something so precious to you, from doing something that you love. This will never be the part where you will just stop writing the Chapter 22.

This is the moment where you will finish it. So, what are you waiting for?

Go now, your masterpiece is waiting for you.
